Apply Discounts to Orders

Offer discounts to your customers through discount codes or manual price adjustments. Discounts reduce the order total at checkout or when creating/editing orders.

How to apply a discount

When creating or editing an order

1. In the order form, find the Discount section.
2. Option A — Discount code: Enter a pre-configured discount code (e.g., "WELCOME10"). Click Apply.
3. Option B — Manual discount: Set a custom discount amount directly.
4. The order total updates automatically.

On the storefront checkout

1. Customers enter a discount code in the Discount Code field at checkout.
2. Click Apply.
3. The discount is validated and the total adjusts.

Creating discount codes

1. Go to Stores > [Your Store] > Settings > Discounts.
2. Click Create Discount.
3. Configure:

• Code — The text customers enter (e.g., "SUMMER20")
• Type — Percentage or fixed amount
• Value — The discount amount (e.g., 20% or 50 MAD)
• Minimum order — Minimum order value required
• Usage limits — Max total uses and max per customer
• Expiry date — When the code expires
• Status — Active or Inactive

1. Click Save.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can customers use multiple discount codes on one order?

Typically only one discount code can be applied per order.

Where do customers enter the code?

On the checkout page, there's a "Discount Code" field where they enter and apply the code.
